The free version of @duolingo is essentially unusable now due to ads and restrictions. It’s a shame to see them move away from their values around ads they used to speak about so proudly.

I struggled to get anywhere when trying to update the UI. Maybe a good time to use @lovable_dev to build on top of this?

Used @cursor_ai & Xcode to build a simple Mac menu bar app. It allows you to email reminders to yourself and creates a brief summary for the subject line. That was fun! Took about 1 hour. First time using Xcode.

Figma Q: I'm wanting to add searchable notes to my Figma frames to capture analytics event names. Component descriptions would have been perfect but they're not searchable. Any ideas other than an additional frame below each screen containing text? cc @disco_lu 👀

This is very true. It’s something which comes more natural to me and can sometimes rub people up the wrong way to be honest.

Love to see it 🐬 "Monzo’s new investing platform is more streamlined than a dolphin on a 5/2 diet." https://t.co/egMBL1yIIB

It’s so easy to fall into this trap when scaling a product. Some ways to help mitigate: - strong design system and culture around using/expanding it - well written and understood design principles for the system. From the individual components to things like feature discovery

Just made garlic rice and now I’m wondering why I haven’t made all rice like this for the past 30 years. Onwards.

Quite interested to see what happens to this platform. We need some sort of innovation in the world of social platforms so let's see if they can pull something interesting off...
