nothing else mattered. his entire existence was narrowed down to the concept of power, of achievement through any means. he actively harmed himself to seek revenge. ultimately, he had decided his life wasn't worth the entirety of which he had lost.

he wanted people to see it as effortless, he portrays it all as effortless. and while he may have the sharingan, which is a big advantage, he wasn't itachi. he worked so hard for it all, even going so far as to willingly hand over his body.
