6. Personal Brand:. If you establish yourself as a SF editor, people may come to YOU to work for their teams. This isn't a thread about PB development, however here's a great video by @blackhatwizardd on how to grow your Twitter as a guide:.

5. Short-Form Agencies:. Use Twitter to find current SF agency owners. DM them if they need people to edit for their team. Link GOOD work examples. (or DM me if you have some PrPro experience, we can look to work together too 🤷♀️).

4. Cold Email:. Same approach as above. Find people's emails on their YT pages, websites, profiles etc. Use these to cold email with edited examples of their work. ANYONE can work, it just depends on price they can afford. You can follow the same script as above. Be creative^.

3. Cold DM:. Twitter is a great way to start finding clients. ANYBODY with a social presence can work. If you have a niche, target people in that:. - Agency Owners.- Entrepreneurs.- Experts. Find any videos they alr have. Edit that into a free video & send it to them. Example:

1. Preface:. This thread is for freelance editors to find work. Not for agencies with an offer trying to find clients (a thread on this soon). Some of the points do crossover so give this a read anyway. (Check the Tweet below especially if looking for work, I gotchu 👇).

5. Habits. Everyone’s situation is different. What should stay constant is your ability to work effectively. This is rooted in how you manage yourself & your habits. I achieved a lot of $ in a short amount of time, but that wasn’t without hard work. Making a mindset thread soon.

4. Libraries . I use libraries for emojis, sound fx & certain elements that are common across the majority of my projects. They are accessible across ALL Pr projects, making them valuable tools. (examples below). They're available on the top left of Pr, DM me if not for you.

3. Presets. You're going to want to automate different effects to make them easier to use. Example: I use +1 -1 rotation effect to rotate text in a batch so I don’t have to do it singularly, saving me time across each video. Tutorial:

2. Track Style . You're going to want to create a TS to use the same style (from above) over multiple captions in your projects. These can be exported & imported into different Pr projects too, making it a very useful feature. Tutorial:

1. Style. A style is a combination of font, colours, sizing, effects & more (example below). Since I work with clients, I have different established styles for different needs. Mess around until you have something that suits you.

I’ve made ~$1000 USD in 1 WEEK of editing short-form content as a ‘newer’ editor in the space. Here’s 4 SIMPLE processes that made this possible, and how YOU can make this much if you’re starting out too:. 🧵/6:

You have been programmed from birth to follow orders. Years of schooling you are told:. - When to turn up, take breaks & go home.- Tasks to do each day that have little to no meaning.- What to do by an authoritative figure. No room to free-think, or do things without permission.
