I'm most interested in interactive media installations, in-person immersive experiences, unconventional interactions, and procedural gfx. Web tech is my ๐Ÿž+๐Ÿงˆ, but I've dabbled in Unity, oF, and VR and would love to learn more!. DMs are open. Let's chat! ๐Ÿ“ญ.

Video desc.: screen capture of a phone with a full screen camera feed as the holder turns and walks slowly on a snow covered bridge overlooking a river and waterfall, with Minneapolis skyline visible. A cartoon winter scene is digitally overlaid, seeming to be in the real world.

I'm very interested in any feedback or ideas you have on how to make AR experiences like this more accessible, so don't be shy! I'll be building more AR experiences in the future and I want them to be awesome for everyone! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽ‰.

Something I'm especially proud of personally is the manual control UI and screen reader support (albeit imperfect). #Accessibility in #AR is uncharted territory, but I did my best! Try using #VoiceOver or #TalkBack, and read the accessibility tips in the About dialog if stuck.

Happy holidays! Take some time to enjoy this little interactive #WebAR holiday card I built for my company (@Bluecadet) using @the8thwall and @threejs, with assets and animations from one of our talented motion designers, Siji Chen!

For my next trick, I'm setting a challenge for myself to provide alt descriptions for all the images on my site, including the generative art. Wish me luck, and send me tips if you have em!.

I made a few other tweaks as I went, like moving all font units to rems for better UA text scaling support and changing the default font to #Lexend, a font scientifically proven to be easier to read for everyone!.

The implementation respects `prefers-color-scheme` as a default, which you can override using an on-page control to set a local session storage token. Works pretty great on mobile and with zoom!

I switched jobs recently (I'm a Creative Developer now! ๐Ÿฅณ), and I'm regaining some energy for personal projects again, so I thought it was about time to implement dark mode on my portfolio site!.

I went to the fair totally expecting to laugh, and I did, but I ended up having a genuinely great time! It felt much more like a mature theme park than a state fair to me, definitely something to experience if you're in the area!.

There was of course more than just food! Two sky tram systems to get people around, tons of 4-H activities with thousands of animals, a mansion-sized haunted house, and (of course) anti-maskers.

You may have heard about the legendary food that gets served at the fair. The legends are true, my friends. Flavored cheese curds, Pronto Pup (lame corndogs. Fight me lol), sashimi tacos, and amazing hummus with fresh-made pita.

Yesterday I made a trip out to the Minnesota State Fair - my first time as a transplant to the area. I thought I knew what I was in for, but I was wrong. 322 acres, ~300 food vendors, ~700 shops, and over 2 MILLION visitors each year (so far only half that this year due to COVID)
