Normally Longworth 2nd floor Christmas decorations are a bipartisan and amiable contest. Rep. Eli Crane's office has the most insensitive, charged and insulting Christmas decor I've ever seen in my 5 years on Capitol Hill.

@DCAttorneyGen Is there going to be compensation for former and current residents impacted? We lived in a Paradigm-managed building that raised our rent by $400 and when we tried to negotiate a sales manager referenced an "algorithm". We moved out as a result of the price hike.

Two years ago this week, I quit my dead end job at a trade association & took took a chance w/ an unpaid internship on the Hill. Flash forward, 2 years later & I found a Hill job lived thru two impeachments, a presidential election, an insurrection and a life changing pandemic.

When I first moved into DC, I lived by the Potomac Ave metro stop. I used to take my dog Cooper on walks to the Capitol and think about how I could one day work on the Hill. Sad to think we’ll have permanent fencing around these beautiful grounds. Again, f*ck white supremacy.

Disagree. Voting proxy shouldn't be stigmatized and isn't a bad thing. The pandemic has shown how much we need to modernize our workforce and government to operate remotely, offer flexibility, and function in the 21st Century, including a better proxy voting system.

I worked two side jobs on top of my hill job. I had no insider dc connections. Unions will make it easier for less connected and working people to serve their country by creating salary floors and creating a healthy working environment. This take is complete and utter nonsense.
As @mattyglesias notes, left-wing political staffers have too much influence over what Democrats do, pushing them to do and say unpopular things. If Democrats start letting congressional office staff unionize, that problem will only get worse.

I've had to tell my sister, who is in lockdown, that sources with blue checks aren't verified sources of information. They're receiving crazy amounts of misinformation and the lack of information from law enforcement isn't helpful either.
Students in lockdown trying to find info on the search for a possible active shooter at UNC are seeing verified accounts with blue checks falsely report the shooter is in custody as police & UNC (both unverified) urge them to shelter in place because the suspect is still at large.
