@jasonmauck1 Fall calving cows and weaned spring calves grazing CC strips and corn stalks. Not much left of the summer CC mix besides the brassicas, but we are still capturing some sun, and the cows are processing carbon.

After I presented at the Gateway Farm Expo this man came up and said if I stacked a 🐝 hive on each acre between Alley Crop corn with a vibrant clover 🍀 bloom I would more than make up for the yield hit from the void of 🌽 on 1/2 field

Vertical sun capture is the ONLY thing keeping the average farm/farmer from raising yields comparable to David Hula and Randy Dowdy. They just spend enough $$ … and there is skill involved to fool more plants to thinking they’re getting this much sunlight. You’ll encounter 2

Bee keepers are the #1 profession for long life. Why is that @realJohnKempf?

This is my first attempt at relay wheat. Thank you @jasonmauck1 for all the posts you share about relay cropping, that has given me the confidence to dive in. P.S. this was where I was checking my guess rows before I headed to the corn stalks

@oldfarmgirlkah I grew up attending these skool’s. At 11am those who had potatoes in their lunch, put them on stove, hot sandwiches went on at 11:30. Recess was for all. Outhouse at -20˙. Older kids taught younger, younger tattled on older …. A community of learning. Now a museum on our farm

I know it probably works… but at 10,000 ft view how f’d up is it that people are mirroring Nancy Pelosi or Michael McCaul trades on Wall Street? It’s basically conceiting it’s rigged so let’s add to the damage of that…idk…it’s a symptom of how our values have changed.

Watching a story this morning on 50 year mortgage concept. Median age of first time home buyer is now 40 years old. WTF are we doing? Real estate as an investment vehicle beyond a primary residence is an absolute societal cancer.

Reading some Warren Buffett. Makes me think of high speed implements, picket fence corn stands, multi million dollar grain facilities, class 11 combines, the list goes on and on and on and on Once everyone reaches the latest plateau of efficiency, you’ve got nothing to show for

@jasonmauck1 "We cultivate too much land", Adam Summer, 1854: We have never learned the true policy for preserving and beautifying the pleasant country into which our lots have been cast. We cultivate too much land and improve too little. The planter must—that is the word—must make a given

Interesting dialogue here I now believe more than ever. I can “farm” better at a garden scale than I can with large equipment. Due to diversity. Arrangement… and using the attributes /waste as value. Days matter. Inches matter. You can do anything with your hands with all

If you traded in ALL of your planting, sidedress, spraying equipment in…. and got 10 of these back for each one. Would you have 1 at each field … or region? Or swarm them? What if motor was just one big @MilwaukeeTool deal that plugged into a truck? Or power rack was in
