Minnesota corn yield samples on #pftour25 averaged a record 202.86 bu/acre, smashing the old record from 2020 by 4%. That's up 23% from last year's tour (USDA is up 16% YOY, by the way). Soy pod counts were up 20% from last year, the tour's highest MN pod count in over 20 years.

I would make the argument that spray drones are the fastest changing technology we have seen in ag. From 8 gallons to +20 gallon capacity and 2x the speed in 3 years. It’s hard to keep up and decide when to pull the trigger on the next upgrade.

Nitrogen rate study is starting to show up. The yellow strips are 130lbs of N. Also have 165, 200, 240lb strips out there. All spring applied liquid with consistent sulfur rates.

The Interns got a few different trials put in this week. Foliar sulfur rates, nitrogen splits with/out stabilizers, and even tried Y-dropping some iron on soybeans in some IDC spots.

Soil moisture is drying out fast. Had to increase planting depth the last two days. Traded in the @PrecisionPlant smart firmer soil temp for furrow moisture this week.
