When we look at b+w images it feels like the “past” no matter when the pic was taken. Adding color makes it feel more modern. We’re right at the point where adding *depth* is the next great inflection—flat video will feel old, just like b+w. #volumetric future.

Had to bow out of 2 panel/speaking venues in last couple of days. Sucks, but right thing to do given my current professional status (I don’t have an XR job, these are XR based panels). Hopefully though, this’ll open up a couple of opportunities for new and exciting voices!.

This is something I’ve hoped would happen (and even pitched once!) since I saw my first volcap result. This is a little dream come true for me (though this is nothing I had anything to do with). So cool, and congrats to Metastage! This feels like a perfect partnership for both.

One of the things I love about Twitter at this time is that no one will see what I post. Today I am grateful for pulling the ripcord on a group that clearly doesn’t value what I bring to the table. I’m happy enough to work min wage or go broke than build value for the wrong folk.

Amplifying. In the course of my corporate work, we’ve run as a non union shop for work we do (it’s a similar but different space), but these asks from the union seem pretty basic and fair. By extension, that also helps set the bar for non union sets.

I mean, just look at this still from Moonlight, and these two scenes from the master, Kuroswa. Then look at this cut scene from Justice League— featuring what are meant to be colorful characters. 🤷🏻‍♂️
