(Anyone still here?) Back in April-May I spent a month hiking through Spain, covering a total of 600km through forests, farmland, wetland, scrub, and eventually the Valencian coast - including some sobering exposure to #climatechange effects:

Here at MWC we're not big fans of impenetrable jargon. That's why our policy whizz @jashton3000 has put together a handy blog explaining the key parts of #FisheriesAct & what it means for our fishermen & marine environment ⚓ Read it here! 👉 https://t.co/baJKcTv97N

Important and interesting summary of how #climatechange is affecting UK #fishing, and the importance of collaboration between scientists and industry - had a lot of fun helping put this together! Do have a read :)
We are pleased to publish our policy brief on the outcomes from November’s #FishingClimateChange event. It discusses how the #fisheries industry is affected by #climatechange, and how collaborative efforts can help build resilience into the fleet. https://t.co/N8ZziXduKS

Oh my days FINALLY - it was five-odd years ago I was in @ZeroCarbonSoc at its inception, and it felt like an uphill struggle. So thrilled the university has finally listened. It's been a long hard slog - huge kudos to everyone that helped make it happen!

The university says it is responding to the "urgent existential threat" of climate change.
