I highly encourage stick diagrams in my VLSI class and prev student made this: Nick and his colleagues deserve great praise for his work. He also gave a talk at ASYNC 2025 on it. I have heard, he got pos feedback/support. #stickdiagrams #VLSI.

Great lesson that I tell my students all the time is that you have to innovate (in fact, brought it up today before I read this article) otherwise, someone else's design is not as efficient!

I am eternally grateful for Jim Burkhart who taught @KeithBergmanPE and I so many lessons I still use today including be prepared w/ a backup. I had an incident today w/ a student who couldn't download Vivado for senior design - I luckily downloaded it on a SSD ready to go:).
