The Supreme confirms that the tort of bribery remains a civil wrong (rejecting an invitation to abolish it).

Interesting that it is presented as a joint judgment of all five justices here.

Para 56, refusing Treasury's intervention - "Although the draft submissions clearly expressed the apprehension within Government as to the national economic consequences of the Court of Appeal’s decision, it provided nothing of substance either as to the relevant law or context.".
