Data is a double-edged sword. More demographic data could provide more personalized care and approaches, but privacy concerns and fear of discrimination are real for minority groups.
Compared to heterosexual adults, Americans who identify as sexual minorities have a significantly higher prevalence of chronic medical conditions, so why aren’t we collecting the data to track how the virus affects the LGBTQ+ community?
