New paper led by @DucoMuelder of @ErasmusMCPH on the ethics of using race and ethnicity in cancer screening programmes. There's plenty more to write on this topic but this was an interesting project and I learnt a lot.

Really disappointing to see a patient advocate perpetuating falsehoods regarding the CervicalCheck controversy. This is either a very fundamental failure to understand the facts, or worse, bad faith. This amplifies us-and-them thinking between the public and health professionals.

The absence of clarity around Ireland's cost-effectiveness threshold and it's implementation leaves discussions on drug pricing and access in the dark. This needs the attention of the Oireachtas health committee.
