I've learned a lot on Twitter these past 10 years. Thank you to everyone I've stalked & learned from :). Especially in the early days when I was developing solo in San Diego, Twitter allowed me to learn how world-class developers & designers communicated & thought about problems.

Wait—I thought openai and anthropic just wanted to be wedged into legacy systems that use a fraction of their capabilities

ChatGPT is upping their recommended prompts game. Clearly personalized now, which I’m not sure Google ever really did for me with search. The news in Chrome yes, but not search.

This is hilarious. ESLint *was* that tool for years. I still use it thusly. I understood the desire for separation of formatting & fixing, but Prettier & ESLint on the same project was always impractical. ESLint made an ideological decision that had negative practical effects.

@warpdotdev The UI enhancements Warp has always offered were neat, but I feel natural moving around in the terminal via vim commands. It's the intensely great LLM integration that I can't go back from now.

I used iTerm2 almost every day 2010–2024. I dl'd many contenders for the terminal throne, but nothing ever stuck. Including @warpdotdev, until late last year. I started keeping Warp open for non-critical projects initially. I realized just now I've not opened iTerm in months.

There's a sort of peace in knowing I'll be one of the last people to professionally write code by hand.
