Since the August anti-immigration rallies, roughly a dozen national polls have been published. Every single one places Labor between 54% and 57% on two-party preferred. So no, the issue hasn’t hurt them. Immigration remains a topic of high salience for conservatives, but very

Trump and co are governing like they will never face the will of the people again. That’s not hubris, it’s not delusional, it’s the plan. There will not be free and fair elections ever again

They want to go after "Antifa" because it has no leader, no organization, no bank accounts, etc... This way they can say anyone is Antifa. This way they can do anything they want. That's it. That's the whole Tooth Fairy/Santa Claus/Antifa fantasy. It's to go after YOU.

Watching The Hack. A simpler time when good people held the powerful to account & the bad people took a bit of a blow & then went on to get Trump elected so that if something like The Hack ever happened again it would have a presidential seal of approval & the paper shutdown

When the escalator came to a sudden halt, Secret Service just looked around hoping someone would fix the problem. That wasn’t supposed to happen and it turned Trump into a stationary target. Why did they not cover and evacuate him immediately?

One could argue Trump only takes meetings with world leaders he has leverage over, ones he can mock & bully, ones MAGA already distain, ones he can make a quick buck off or score some points. Australia just doesn’t fit the mould so he has zero interest in meeting @AlboMP #abc730

Clearly Trump can’t see anyway to make a quick buck out of Oz or any openings to belittle and bully so has no interest in meeting @AlboMP And that is a good thing.

This is only a problem if the democrats are ever in power again. They won’t be. There won’t be mid terms as we knew them or another presidential election. Trump & allies never expect to face an election again

The problem with the “Remember, Democrats could abuse this power too when they’re in charge again” argument isn’t that it is wrong. It’s that it misses the fact that abusing power when your team is in charge is simply wrong on the merits. The same applies to “well, they abused

Charlie Kirk was an arsehole killed by an arsehole in a country full of arseholes with guns led by a President who is an arsehole enabled by elected arseholes.

It’s crazy how 26 little kids and teachers at Sandy Hook couldn’t change a gun law but the killing of a right wing influencer like Charlie Kirk will likely lead to martial law and the suspension of the mid term elections.
