Weird to see your friend and neighbor have her (and her baby's) picture tweeted by the president. .
For many workers, so much of their paycheck goes to child care that they feel like they can’t ever get ahead. My budget expands access to affordable child care and free preschool to millions of families. It’s good for kids, it’s good for families, and it’s good for our economy.

This was not an easy decision. I truly appreciate the support and effort of all my colleagues at @Deloitte, but I have to be the change I want to see. Civic technology is already vital to our every day lives, and I want to ensure that we're doing it right.

On Monday I will join @EricHysen's CIO team at the @DHSgov as a Senior Advisor for Technology and Delivery. I'll be looking at how we are implementing critical technology systems that support and protect hundreds of millions of Americans and soon-to-be citizens.

After numerous conversations with other folks, lots of inner monologues, and a whole bunch of waiting, I am happy to announce that starting Monday I will be returning to Federal service to use my tech skills for civic good.
