FIRST ALERT 2:45 PM Sat.: Scattered storms are continuing across portions of Louisiana. Storms are moving slowly and producing heavy rainfall. This could lead to localized flooding in some locations. #lawx

2 PM Sat.: Isolated to scattered storms are entering right on time. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! #lawx

The chances that this develops into something tropical in nature is low, but could still have some minor impacts along the east coast of the United States. Expect occasional showers & storms and high rip currents.

7:55 PM Fri.: Most storm activity has dissipated or moved out of Cenla! I cannot roll out the chance of a few isolated storms trying to fire up along ongoing outflow boundaries. #lawx

6:05 PM Fri.: Isolated storms are beginning to enter northern Vernon and Rapides Parish. With these being isolated in nature, not everyone will receive rain out of these! #lawx

2:05 PM Thu.: There is a storm in NW Rapides Parish that will be moving into NE Vernon Parish soon. Radar is estimating wind gusts up to 40 mph. Lightning and heavy rain are also ongoing with this storm. #lawx

BEYOND LOUISIANA: I was glancing at the weather across the country and noticed that the northeast is dealing with some very active weather! There is a confirmed tornado NE of Baltimore, MD & an additional tornado warning just southwest of New York City. #mdwx #nywx

Northern and central Louisiana seem to be the hotspots for rain activity on Friday. I am leaning toward the late afternoon to early evening when the most fuel is available. I am continuing to monitor the trends and will let you know if anything changes!.
