5 PM THU. POWER OUTAGES: Approx. 2,000 in Rapides Parish are without power from recent storms. These stayed below severe limits, but still produced wind gusts of 40-50 mph. These storms have weakened as they moved toward Vernon Parish, but I will still be watching for more
