Mekies himself has refuted the claims that he did anything different in regards to Yuki receiving upgrades, or that there was a "stockpile" of upgrades being reserved for Max, but don't let reality stop you from writing your Red Bull are sabotaging Yuki conspiracy theories.

Even if we agreed on the reasons why Ricciardo chose to leave Red Bull, the idea that his race wins suddenly "lost their value" because he dared to leave a team might genuinely be a new level of stupid on the daniel derangement syndrome scale.
well like half of those 8 wins lost most of their value once he decided to pack his bags and sprint away from red bull as soon as max raised his game.

Even in seasons when he was struggling with the car (2022 at McLaren or early in 2024 with VCarb) he wasn't prone to costly mistakes. But his 2014, 2016 and 2020 seasons were incredibly consistent, especially considering the machinery and power deficit to his competition.

This is such a nonsense comparison. There are valid criticisms to be made about Ricciardo's time in F1, but the idea that he was an inconsistent or mistake-prone driver is a total fallacy, he just did it in inferior and unreliable machinery so the results don't seem as impressive.
@formularacers_ Norris is like Ricciardo. inconsistent. Piastri feels like an 2015-2020 hamilton. Methodological and composed.

Genuinely insane to me that one fan account used the word "stockpile" to describe Red Bull's spare parts (not used by Mekies or RBR), despite the fact there was only ONE spare floor after Yuki's Imola crash that was a spare for Max in case of damage during incurred during Quali.
Laurent Mekies, the new Red Bull team principal, has revealed that he has asked for Yuki Tsunoda's car to also be equipped with the new features before qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, taking reserve parts for Verstappen from the stockpile. #BelgianGP #RedBullRacing #F1
