Though days can still be hard and sometimes I want to cry, I love the balance between the two environments, the learning it provides and I feel positive, I love my jobs and after just paying for another year's registration, I look forward to what's to come ☺️.

Due to the nature of the nursing home, I am kept insanely busy. Learning more and more every shift. The hospital holds equal challenges in different ways.

I may have not had the best starts but I am in a much better place!! I split my work between nursing home and hospital- both providing different types of continued learning.

Just got home from a night shift. 0755hrs. Please can we stop normalising today as a day off. It is not. I've just done a 12.5hr night shift. I'm knackered. Acid reflux. Headache. Semi delirious. This is not a day off. A day off is a functioning adult, activities, and errands.

Having a balance between working in a nursing home and in my local NHS trust. I am almost at the point of saying "I love my job!". Nursing isn't easy, especially after the horrendous start I had, but I have found a balance and starting to feel like I am coming into my own 🥰🙏🤩.
