On international day against homophobia, biphobia & transphobia my heart is heavy. There is a shift away from inclusivity of LGBTQIA+ communities in the UK, with trans & non-binary lives facing most discrimination. Being your authentic self is nothing but beautiful. #IDAHOBIT2025.

Fantastic to hear directly from young people. In their words, “Young people deserve to know they have a voice and that someone is listening. We should feel that we have some control over our lives.”.@FatimaWh1tbread .@CoramVoice .#OneVoiceSummit.#FatimasUKCampaign

Spending the next couple of days at @FatimaWh1tbread’s One Voice Summit, exploring ideas and sharing best practices to improve outcomes #ForAllChildren. The vibe is already that this won’t be a talking shop, but will lead to much needed action. #FatimasUKCampaign

I am feeling so full of hope being at @UlsterUni’s celebration at the beautiful Academy Restaurant to celebrate young people who completed the developmental trauma course. It was a joy to be part of this with incredible colleagues from @AdoptionUK, @VOYPIC & @actnforchildren 🥳

Wow. What an amazing parent to be able to be so open, honest and self-reflective. A beautiful video by @setrust which really showcases the impact of Step Up Step Down 💚.
Our Step Up Step Down service in partnership with @fosteringnet, which has helped over 200 families stay together, has now been implemented by the Welsh Government 🙌. We are delighted to have been involved in this pioneering project which is #MakingADifference ♥️ .#HSC

Absolutely fantastic to be part of this wonderful event. I am deeply proud of the whole team, and all of the families and foster carers who worked so hard and shared their stories. What an impactful project Step Up Step Down is! @fosteringnet.
Inspiring morning with @mikenesbittni & Minister Dawn Bowden, who joined together to hear the impact of Step Up Step Down. A highlight was hearing directly from children, parents & foster carers. Looking forward to future developments & continued collaboration. @WelshGovernment

Ray Jones who did the @cscsreviewNI noted the passion & expertise here & honoured input by children & families. He is embarrassed that what is needed still isn’t being done. Need to undo systemic barriers. Need collective voice for children’s social care & ALB.

Commissioner @ChrisNICCY wonders how much of a priority children & young people are for the NI government. He “is behind the aims of Minister @mikenesbittni & calls upon his Executive colleagues to get behind him”. He wants to see child rights upheld in NI law.

Minister @mikenesbittni was moved by young people telling their story through drama, facilitated by @fosteringnet. He said “I want to end post code lotteries & make best practice common practice across all Trusts.” Time to roll out Step Up Step Down!.@healthdpt
