Excited to announce that beginning in a couple weeks I’ll be the new high school sports reporter for @HoCoTimesSports, part of the Baltimore Sun Media Group. I can’t wait to get started sharing the great stories of Howard County athletes.

Former @LRHS_BASE star @aidanwest_9 is at No. 97 in a ranking of the Top 250 MLB Draft Prospects by ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel just a few days ahead of the MLB Draft. West rewrote the program record book as a four-year starter.
Final draft rankings are up, 250 deep!. Tons of new names and the most in-depth reports, names of note, sleeper alerts, etc. I've done while at ESPN. If you read it all, you'll be ready to jump in a draft room and contribute.

Future Glenelg Gladiator Mya Arrendell won the girls middle school 400 (53.73 seconds) at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Philadelphia yesterday. She set a meet record with that time. Got some great content coming out with Mya next week, keep an eye out for it soon.

.@gavin_metrick was lights out on the mound this year as the Howard County leader in ERA (0.353) and strikeouts (75). Metrick, a @Towson_BASE commit saved his best for last and is the 2025 Howard County baseball Player of the Year.

Thirteen-year-old Mya Arrendell has quickly emerged into an elite sprinter. Despite her young age, Arrendell’s times aren’t far off from that of Olympians. “Age doesn’t really matter, it’s just about how you show yourself to the world,” she said.

Former River Hill star Henry Zatkowski is headed to Virginia after an impressive freshman year at Duke. Zatkowski is joining several other former Blue Devils under new Cavaliers coach Chris Pollard who was previously Duke’s head coach.
I want to thank Duke University for an amazing freshman year. The relationships and opportunities they have provided will always be cherished. With that being said, I am excited to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Virginia! @UVABaseball

Former @RHHSVBASEBALL star @zatkowski_henry is transferring after an excellent freshman season at Duke. He is one of several players to transfer out of the program after former Duke coach Chris Pollard took the Virginia job.

.@zatkowski_henry with a strong start for Duke as he threw four innings and allowed just two runs. Zatkowski struck out 7 and finished with 68 pitches, 46 of which were strikes. Duke currently has a 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh.
