HOT TAKE I think people put too much value on the NIL money and not enough on development of the RIGHT kids. While teams that can reload and pay will have their success, the ones that can develop players and KEEP them in their system will end up succeeding

I’m fully aware this is a very nuanced and complicated task for departments. Real development takes time, but Madison should be able to be the place to do that - Because you need the right kids who will stick it out together for 4-5 years, which will start compounding

I feel blessed to be able to donate to a walk on scholarship at UW, along with tons of other former walk ons. Personally I think it’s criminal to expect fans to contribute money to players. Fans already commit enough money to athletic departments they don’t need to subsidize NIL

While I understand where this is coming from, and NIL clearly is here to stay in some form, I think it’s approached all wrong. Are there nfl players who could front some cash to pool a nice supply together? Yes. But respectfully that ain’t me, I made league min for 3 years 😂

Tbh I don’t think enough people fully grasp how weird it was that guy, and staffers including coordinator, abandoned their current players to come to UW early and try and coach the bowl game. Had to get a head start on recruiting and air raid culture, currently paying dividends

There is really no reason to do this. Unless you’re nervous about lack of control and your coaching ability being talked about throughout the league. But it’s apparent to anyone at this point there’s no coaching or development happening. I feel for the jits

I can’t speak to what didn’t happen and I don’t necessarily think that’s true , there is still a lot of football left this season. Win the next one. Build momentum. 2-2 with losses to #1 and a top 15 team. Boys just gotta keep fighting.
