Today, CSD Leaders put their lunch on hold to deliver meals throughout the community. My partner, Drew Moffett and I bumped into WP Grad, Danny Knox who is a regular driver for Meals On Wheels. His sister, also a Penn Grad, was my long time secretary. Small World!

Wrapped up Homecoming Week and Nation School Lunch Week serving students at William Penn’s N3 site. Best part of that was working with Terrance and Ms. T. We served students many delicious and healthy options!

Tonight was definitely special for Colonial Nation. WP Teacher, Shelby Borst was named the 2025 DE Teacher of the Year. The most touching moment of the evening was the proud look of her father, who flew in from Hawaii to be at the banquet. That moment was simply priceless.

Principal, Richard Byrson - WE Change the Odds honor (Oct2024). This past summer, when a groundskeeper suffered a traumatic injury while using a chainsaw at Southern. Rich was able to stop the bleed by applying a tourniquet and rendered aid until the paramedics arrived.

This month we celebrate and recognize CSD Principals. They prioritize student learning, support staff growth & maintain positive & safe learning environments. For families they are often the face of Colonial. These amazing individuals embody the “E” in The Power of WE!

Join me in celebrating all the amazing Colonial Custodial & Maintenance staff. Their professionalism, dedication & commitment embody the “E” in The Power of WE! This morning I saw that firsthand as I joined Colonial Courier, Cindy Soblatt for delivery rounds. She put me to work!
