Linn Co. Iowa. Lots of tar spot and rust. 46 avg ear count, pretty light, but made some big ears. Yield est 208.53 but still a long way to go grain fill wise.#pftour25

Drove through the areas I like to spend a lot of time in today. Bureau, Henry, rock island county in Illinois. Muscatine, Louisa, Johnson county in Iowa. Ten total stops yielded an average 198 bu. per acre. Prime ground. Bean pod counts were pretty good across the board

The spread between August certified FSA corn acres and final acres is the tightest ever. says to me acres could go higher.

1.8 million acres of PP acres noted in the FSA acreage data. 1.2 million acres of beans.

Record yields forecast in 5 of the 7 Crop Tour states. We will see how that stat holds up next week!.

In the newsletter last week, we mentioned this might be the highest yield print we see. I think we were right.

Corn exports through July and outstanding sales remaining as of July 31 indicate exports could total ~2.825 bil bu for 2024-25. Could be ~30 mil bu lower or ~10 mil bu higher using analog comparisons. USDA was at 2.75 bil bu in July.

We have data back to 1993 for the Aug. StoneX estimate. Avg is 0.25 above final USDA yield and 0.2 above the Aug. WASDE. There are outliers of course, but historically pretty good.
