“Hanguangjun, we need to be ready in fifteen minutes!” he insisted, though his voice wavered when Lan Wangji effortlessly lifted him and set him down on the bed. “I would like to have my breakfast here,” Lan Wangji said quietly.

With a firm but gentle pull, he turned Wei Wuxian around and began steering him toward the bed. “Lan Zhan, we can’t! We’re supposed to have breakfast with your brother and uncle!” Wei Wuxian protested, trying to dig his heels in, only for Lan Wangji to catch his wrist firmly.

Their eyes met in the mirror, and in that quiet, steady gaze, Wei Wuxian could practically see every unspoken thought crossing Lan Wangji’s mind. Oh no.

“Lan Zhan… it’s too big,” Wei Wuxian complained, staring at his reflection in the mirror. “Perfect,” Lan Wangji said without hesitation. “Wei Ying looks perfect.”

Wei Wuxian kept tugging and adjusting, but the robe refused to stay in place. He could feel Lan Wangji’s gaze tracing over every curve the oversized fabric revealed as he silently took in the sight of Wei Wuxian dressed in his clothes.

The moment the outer robe settled on his shoulders, it slipped right back off again, baring the delicate lines of his collarbones through the thin inner layer.
