The ISSU is currently looking to fill two positions on the Monitoring & Advisory Committee (MAC)! The MAC plays a key role in supporting and overseeing the work of ISSU’s elected structures, making sure everything aligns with our constitution, goals, and policies.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Preston O Caoimh (He/Him) is the Uachtarán of the Coiste Gnó. As Uachtarán, Preston leads the ISSU and acts as the main representative and spokesperson. He has overall responsibility for the organisation’s activities both internal and external.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! David Morrissey (He/Him) is the Communications Officer (Oifigeach Cumarsáide) of the Coiste Gnó. David is responsible for the publication of ISSU media in all forms. He has the responsibility for keeping the ISSU website and social media up to date.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Aoibhínn Doyle (She/Her) is the Runaí of the Coiste Gnó. Aoibhínn is responsible for organising and recording meetings of the Coiste Gnó. Including preparing agendas, distributing minutes, and ensuring these are published and shared with relevant bodies.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Kayleigh McNamara (She/Her) is the Disability Officer of the Coiste Gnó. Kayleigh has overall responsibility for the promotion of accessibility for disabled students at second-level within member schools.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Eoin Murphy (He/Him) is the Equality Officer (Oifigeach an Chomhionannais) of the Coiste Gnó Eoin leads the defence and promotion of anti-discrimination within and on behalf of the ISSU. Eoin also implements equality Directive Mandates.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Louisa Tyrrell is the International Officer (Oifigeach Idirásúinta) of the Coiste Gnó. In their role, Louisa liaises with OBESSU (Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions) and SSUNI. They are also responsible for international students.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Harrison Rossiter McGuire (He/Him) is the Regional Liaison & Support Officer (Oifigeach Tacaíochta & Ceangail Réigiúnach) of the Coiste Gnó. Harrison has overall responsibility for the organisation and coordination of the Regional Officer Body (ROB).

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Rónán Ó hÍcí (He/Him) is the Oifigeach na Gaeilge of the Coiste Gnó. Rónán is responsible for promoting the Irish language within ISSU. He liaises with students from gaelcholáistí and is responsible for the implementation of ISSU’s Scéim Teanga.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Alex Caffrey (He/Him) is the Education Officer (Oifigeach Oideachas) of the Coiste Gnó. Alex is responsible for the promotion of the student's perspective in regards to the education they receive. The role is largely policy and representative based.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Niamh McGrath (She/Her) is the Sustainability Officer (Oifigeach Inbhuanaitheachta) of the Coiste Gnó. Niamh leads all action surrounding sustainability and climate justice within and on behalf of the ISSU.

Meet your Coiste Gnó! Billy Campbell (He/Him) is the Leas-Uachtarán of the Coiste Gnó. In his role as Leas-Uachtarán, Billy focuses on the development and growth of the ISSU with an emphasis on internal policies, structures, membership and structuring of the organisation.
