The DateTime type has existed in .NET from the beginning. However, it has disadvantages. .NET 8 introduced TimeProvider abstraction. In my post, I will explain how you can better control your time with it. Link in the comments.

.NET 9 Task.WhenEach example 💡 #dotnet 9 is now available and includes a new Task.WhenEach API which allows us to easily process asynchronous tasks as they complete. The example below makes multiple HttpClient calls and is able to operate on their results as they complete.

.NET 9 will natively support UUID v7 👏 #dotnet These GUIDs have a timestamp embedded so are sortable and thus are a better fit for DBs like PostgreSQL and MySQL (but unfortunately not MSSQL).

Recently I did a video on how to run local LLMs, but I took some heat for it because I ran the demos on a $50,000 Dell AI Workstation... So I decided to repeat the tests on everything from a Pi4 to a Mini PC to a laptop, gaming machine, and a workstation. So from $50 to $50K!
