Coaches do not choose your playing time - your choices do. Playing time isn’t politics. It’s proof. It's proof of your habits, your work ethic, and your sacrifices. There's a price to pay before you earn the right to play.

Some are interested in winning. Others are committed to doing what winning requires. Interest looks for a way out when it's tough. Commitment finds a way through. That's the difference between a good team and a great program.

Don’t confuse your role with your value. Championship players don’t count minutes - they make their minutes count. Great players don’t chase playing time. Great players chase excellence. Because roles change but the standard never does.

Ordinary players want it easy. Great ones want to be tested. Because they know adversity reveals what comfort hides. Don’t lower the standard to make people comfortable. Raise the standard to make them better.

If you can't execute in practice you won't execute on game day. If you're not confident in practice you won't be confident on game day. If you're not focused in practice you won't be focused on game day. The habits you cultivate in practice will show up on game day.
