As a single parent, Sathya, who had studied until Class 12, did odd jobs when she first joined Isha Vidhya. She completed her B.A. in Tamil and is now living her childhood dream of being a teacher. She teaches Tamil in Class 2, and her two children study at the same school.

Rubakumar completed B.E. - ECE and works as a Data Analyst – Quality and Policy Expert at Innodata Inc. He cherishes his P.E. teacher’s encouragement and attributes the communication skills he acquired at Isha Vidhya for helping him sail through interviews with ease.

Sankari, who is self-driven, prepared for her exams by studying for three hours every evening after school, and drawing and painting afterwards to relax. She is pursuing computer science and hopes to work at a company like Google to alleviate her mother’s financial burden.

On a visit to a garden, UKG students learned about its components and then created a garden with soil, grass, leaves, and flower and butterfly cut-outs. This task not only helped them identify the garden elements but was intended to encourage them to nurture a garden at home.

Swastika, a Class 10 student at Isha Vidhya Tuticorin, began learning the ancient martial art for her mother and is fascinated by how it keeps her nimble, alert, and confident. She won at the district-level Silambam contest and will compete at the state level. Bravo!

With resolute mentoring at college, Janani won at the zonal level. She says, “It felt surreal to be one of five national-level finalists presenting my thesis to noted architects.Receiving a Citation of Merit at the national level was a proud and most emotional moment of my life.”

Janani recounts, “My father has retired, while my mother works in a garment unit. I strived and cleared JEE, went to Delhi to study architecture, and what started as countless sketches, sleepless nights, and working diligently has turned into a defining moment of my journey.”

Award-Winning Architect Alumna Janani of Isha Vidhya Erode is pursuing B.Arch at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, and her final-year thesis was selected for the Council of Architecture National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis 2025. Congratulations!

For primary section students at Isha Vidhya Coimbatore, the breezy ascent to class steps up their English vocabulary. It is especially beneficial as they do not get the chance to practice speaking in English at home, and such informal lessons reinforce learning.
