Apparently, someone at Business today thinks 10% inflation, 30% direct tax, and 18% GST are perfectly fine—but when the middle class spends 40% of their salary on a home or EMIs, it suddenly becomes ‘insidious.’ The irony writes itself. #taxterrorism

Hey @carehealthindia, why is your ‘internet handling fee’ a % of the premium? Does the internet work harder for higher amounts?

Babus at work: no footpath repairs, no road signage, not even a tree in sight—but throw some rangoli on the road and call it ‘beautification.’ Even God can’t save us now. 😂.
The black spot at Kadrenahalli Bridge Point near Banashankari Temple, Ward No. 180, Padmanabhanagara Division, has been removed and the area has been beautified. #SouthZone. #BBMP #BBMPCares #DKShivakumar #bbmpchiefcommissioner

Just park 10% of these vehicles in the middle of the road with no fuel—and watch how fast that ban gets lifted!#DelhiVehicleBan.

Another gem from Tollkari! Soon @nitin_gadkari will announce special toll charges for boats to use this highway. 👏👏👏.
₹ 55,000 crore Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway turned into a river just 30 days after its opening. No media will highlight this as it is not in Bengaluru

Funny how a government that can’t even provide textbooks without checking a student’s caste certificate is now preaching about ‘merit’ in US visas. Hypocrisy much, @mygovindia @MEAIndia ?

Receive ₹10,000 in dividend income, and she happily grabs over ₹3,000 in taxes before it even reaches you. When you win, they win. When you lose? Not their problem.
Smt @nsitharaman receives a dividend cheque of Rs 2762 crores for FY 2024-25 from Shri Debadatta Chand, MD & CEO - @bankofbaroda.

Visited Goa once in 2017—never went back. You can get better hospitality and a more welcoming experience abroad, often on a smaller budget.
In 2021, i went to goa.Had to pay 1000 INR for 2 km.INR 3500 for a 25km airport ride.Never went or will go to goa again .Other destinations provide more value for money

While the middle class struggles to buy a first home, the rich are on their 3rd or 4th luxury properties. Instead of squeezing the middle class with 35% income tax and 28% GST, maybe @FinMinIndia should track the real rich.

Direct Benefit Transfer isn’t an achievement — it’s just extracting blood from the 1% salaried taxpayers living pay check to pay check to fund handouts for the rich zamindars and jagirdars. It’s not welfare, it’s open loot.
From Rs 7,368 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 6.83 lakh crore in 2024-25, there has been a 90X+ rise in DBT transfer in just a decade under Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi's leadership, ensuring that every rupee reaches to every citizen. #11YearsOfDigitalIndia

Corrupt government babus are 100x more dangerous to India’s future than any radical terrorist—slowly bleeding the nation from within.
Another day, another honest babu arrested for corruption. Meet Odisha IAS officer Dhiman Chakma. A businessman running stone crusher units in Kalahandi had audacity to complain after the honest and upright officer asked for a mere ₹20 lakh bribe. The Vigilance Dept laid a trap

Instead of cracking down on corrupt officials minting crores every month and businesses evading taxes, the government goes after salaried taxpayers trying to save ₹10K for their kids’ fees and hospital bills. What a shameful misuse of priorities. #incometax.
An income-tax dept investigation found that 90,000 salaried people claimed FAKE deductions🔻. It cost the income-tax exchequer over ₹1,070 crores🤯. But this time, the income-tax won't let anyone claim fake deductions. Here are some changes in this year's ITR utilities🧵👇.

If we’re still begging for clean water and proper roads after paying 7-digit direct and indirect taxes, then only the gods can save us now. Because clearly, the Govt isn’t even trying. 🙏.
Bangalore real estate: a love story between hope and potholes. Bought a flat for a cool crore in 2022. No road (literally), no Cauvery water, gram panchayat area, and the only thing “gated” was my regret. (a thread).

Never buy anything pricey from @Flipkart —unless it’s under ₹1000 and a steal. Learned it the hard way after ordering a phone 3 years ago. Even the consumer forum couldn’t help.
I ordered a Dell laptop for my sister from @Flipkart for ₹43,158, her very first. What should’ve been an exciting and proud moment quickly turned into an absolute nightmare😢. Time to expose the mess. A thread 👇.
