I have to say from what shubble said about 18 year olds that I really worry about where infantilising adults is going. Calling 18 year olds kids and referring to age gaps between adults as predatory is not ok. It is no way comparable to an adult who is preying on children.

It’s also very important though for people to remember not to devalue other people’s experiences by describing something for example as sa when it is an uncomfortable experience. When you fail to acknowledge severity you disempower language used to describe abuse and violence.
please remember that someone experiencing something you consider to be “less severe” than your experience does NOT make it not valid or not a big deal. two people can experience the exact same thing, one can leave with PTSD and the other was just annoyed. it doesn’t make it okay.
