The fact that such politically different candidates appear to be doing well in their respective races is fascinating. It could say something about the advantages of incumbency, or the way Alaska's new RCV voting system works. But I want to hear from voters.

Still many ballots left to be counted and tabulated, but in Alaska's statewide races, all three incumbents are in strong positions. That's Democrat U.S. Rep. Mary Peltola, moderate Republican U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, and Trump-endorsed Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy. #akleg.

I approached Gov. Mike Dunleavy after he spoke at the Anchorage Baptist Temple and asked for a quick interview. He said “sure.” But then his staffer Andrew Jensen essentially got between me and the governor and led him away.
