I have 12 more ARCs to read but instead I said, “What if I go to the Arctic and get haunted?” So here I am, reading Dark Matter by Michelle Paver. Arctic expedition, isolation, creeping dread and 5 men who probably should’ve stayed home. The cold never bothered me anywaaay ❄️👻❄️

So, did I just devour an audiobook about class war, magical kaiju meat, and emotionally damaged teens with knives? .Yes. Did I enjoy it? .Also yes. Seven Recipes for Revolution by @ryanprose isn't flawless, but I kinda liked the taste of it. Review :

Just read Proxima Station by @mike_mollman, a short and delightfully weird little sci-fi novella full of heart, slime, and alien chaos. Review:

Another routine day in Turkey: three more opposition mayors arrested. A preview for Americans. You're following the same steps. We’re just further along. You still have a functional-ish parliament. Maintain it—if that’s still an option.

June was my best reading month this year in both quantity and quality. Finished 7 books and liked most of them (plus one DNF). My top picks of the month were Hostile and The Godsblood Tragedy. Here’s hoping July starts just as strong! #readingwrapup

Just finished Seeds of War by @JoaoSilvaWrites. Gritty, character-driven fantasy with three messy, morally corrupt adults, smoke-based magic, and a wild final act. Loved the audiobook narration by Adriel Brandt too!. Full review on Goodreads:

I love when horror starts with “animals are attacking people” and ends with “oh no.” . Hostile by @Luke_Scull is tense, bloody, and way more layered than expected. Loved it! 4.5 stars. Full review:

Ooh good question. I usually gravitate toward horror movies, but if it's the only genre I can watch forever? I think I'd go with rom-coms. A lifetime of horror might get a bit bleak 👀. Now if this were a reading question? Horror all the way.
If you could only watch rom com movies or horror movies for the rest of your life what would you choose? 🍿😱🥰.

I'm only 15% into Hostile by @luke_scull and already having a blast. I love horror that revolves around animals suddenly going full psycho. One of my favorite flavors of fear (in fiction 👀) If it keeps this pace, I’m definitely finishing it tomorrow 👍
