Moldovan citizens in the Russian Federation arrived from the early hours of the morning at the two polling stations, organized within the premises of the Moldovan diplomatic mission in Moscow, to exercise their vote in the parliamentary elections.

President Maia Sandu says she voted for a Parliament that can maintain peace, for a Parliament that respects Moldova and its citizens. After exercising her right to vote, the head of state urged citizens to vote and actively contribute to the future of the country.

🇪🇺 European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa have arrived at the State Residence, where the first Moldova-European Union Summit is taking place today. The officials were greeted by President Maia Sandu with military honors.

The verdict in the case of illegal financing of the former Șor party will be pronounced on August 5th. The prosecutors are asking for 9 years of imprisonment for governor of Gagauzia, Evghenia Gutul and 8 years for the former secretary of the party, Svetlana Popan.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, will run for the parliamentary elections on September 28 on the Action and Solidarity Party lists. The announcement was made in a video posted on his Facebook page, reports IPN.

Moldova has opened its embassy in Kazakhstan, as part of a ceremony held in Astana. The diplomatic mission will be led by Ambassador Stefan Gorda, a career diplomat with extensive experience in diplomatic service.
