Excited to announce that I’ve accepted the position as the Supervisor of Surgical and Autopsy Pathology at The University of Chicago Medical Center (@UChicagoPath). I’ve spent 10 years here at UofC, and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I look forward to what’s next.

Hey all, don’t post much anymore, but saw this today. New House bill aimed at student loans. Lots of Pathology peeps on here. New proposed bill (not law yet) would eliminate residency eligibility for PSLF. Good article below on overall changes. https://t.co/Hs5isYafhY

The International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners @theIACME has issued a position paper on the use of pathologists' assistants to perform autopsies in coroner & medical examiner offices. Huge win for our profession! Download the full statement: https://t.co/srQ8wPfSmk

Any other hospitals get telemarketer calls over their PA system EVERY DAY??? And not different ones, but the same ones over and over?

1/2 #pathology #EndoPath #Endocrine_Pathology just wondering whether anyone has noticed this? Or whether this has been described? The change in formalin color into distinctive "Amber" color when you put the slices of pheochromocytoma tumor in it! The color deepens with time

When I came back from vacation, the techs had turned my office chair into a Game of Thrones style chair. Now I feel like I need a throne made out of melted together trim blades and scalpel blades. Instead of the Iron Throne, would we call it the Virchow Throne? #pathology #GoT

Since some have reached out and asked, we just use a generic PA job description for postings. We wanted to change it reflect that it would be an autopsy PA position, but then it apparently has to go through the entire HR approval process again, which could take quite some time

Hi everyone, We have an opening for an autopsy PA at the University of Chicago. This will be the first time we have ever had an autopsy PA here, so it'll be a good opportunity to have someone come in and help us re-shape the department. https://t.co/OMNFPmdbPS
