This patch might of been the one to straight up kill tekken, I don’t see them recovering from this, I barely saw it with season 2 but this just solidified it, as a life long tekken fan I’m pretty much done until Tekken 9, if that even ever comes out atp.

Overall resident evil 9 is an easy 9/10 game. Resident evil 4 remake is of course still a 10/10.

Re9 on the other hand doesn’t perfect everything it tries, but comes pretty close while integrating everything I love about re, the modern horror, panic, action, campiness, lovable characters, music, aesthetic, replay ability, level design etc etc.

So to put it simply, re4r = best game of all time for how perfect it is at what it tries to be, isn’t my favourite “re” because it doesn’t have the panic and horror I associate with the series but it doesn’t detract from the experience since it’s not trying to have that.

As someone who only became a fan of resident evil since the start of 2025, for me resident evil 9 is my favourite re game. It encapsulates everything I love about the series and does a great job at it. Re4 remake is still the best game of all time tho.

Deadlock is so fun, just wish there was more ways to learn in game as opposed to watching several videos to understand the game, could just be me tho since it’s my first moba I’m taking the time to learn

Overall: - Kunimitsu the character that made T7 tournaments unbearable on the eyes - Bob is my goat for selfish reasons and not even that bad as a dlc tbh - Rodger is retarded but funny dumb character so who cares could be fun - The devs get off to stances 10/10 reveal

My speculation in s2 that the tekken dev team is constantly high on some form of fucked up drugs was right because how do you put “back to basics” in the trailer while showcasing more stance moves and transitions 😭😭😭😭

Don’t even play Tekken anymore but I’m so happy Asuka’s are getting called out for never attempting a relatively easy safe mid launching follow up to her -11 ch launching low instead of being drones who all do ws14 in Tekken 8.
