kpop was better when each member was clearly better at something than the others. everyone has to be able to carry a tune and follow the choreo, but i don't care if the top tier vocalist is a so-so dancer or viceversa. that's what roles are for, stop debuting groups of clones.
Kpop companies these days focus on creating an all-rounder group but sometimes that also lands some grps in that "master of none" position when a member ran out of breath, not in a good condition or encounters a sound error, there are no members skilled enough to cover that

I wish kpop companies gave a graduation/departure performance or whatever like jpop groups especially when members have been wanting to leave for a while. like there’s no reason members can’t leave a group more peacefully while giving closure to fans and the group 😭
