Great workshop with 30 students from @WirralMet on the future of town centres, exploring how young people can play an active role in their local town centre. So much enthusiasm showed by the young people and volunteering to become involved in developing social media for the town

Glad to be able to support the launch of this new initiative - High Streets Accelerators today - with Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and 10 very engaged places. The new place-based partnerships will support a focus on local growth, driven by communities.
Thanks to @highstreetsTF Chair, Mark Robinson, IPM Chair @profcathyparker and the policy team from DLUHC for curating the launch event. But most importantly thanks to all those from the selected places who are bringing ideas, enthusiasm and a drive to transform their places.

Bedworth #HighStreetsTaskForce "Unlocking Your Place Potential" The town has positives, such as few historic buildings etc. However, the lack of offer in the town centre, makes you understand why it is facing some real challenges to remain relevant to its catchment area.
