He is right. When Hindus give up on all caste-related ideas and practices, there will indeed be no attacks. Because there will be nothing left to attack. Take the Zomato case for instance. Vegetarianism may not always be based on caste. But there is no denial that many castes do…

@infinitchy If caste is indeed the edifice of Hindusim - It is not a religion worth practicing and preserving. Muting and eventually eradicating caste to foster Hindu unity and solidarity IS the object of Hindutva. It will kill all evils in it's way.

@k46913122 No one is forcing you to follow your caste norms. But why is it too much to ask to leave alone people who do?

@infinitchy To do this, we have to actually separate caste from oppression. That would again require a rigorous analysis of different time period political dynamics which we lack data. The much better approach includes caste issues among OBCs and SC/STs which hindutva itself is not ready for

@Rahoo69 Family is oppressive. Marriage is oppressive. Corporations are oppressive. School is oppressive. Even biology is legit oppressive. Do we go down all these rabbit holes?

@infinitchy Apart from seething and coping, there has to be some functional utility . Caste hierarchy is an integral part of Hindu Religion is true(raitas won't accept) but what purpose it is supposed to serve in an industrialised free society(india is not ,i know)?

@SkepticAryan 'Industrialised free society' is an oxymoron. Your very premise is wrong.

@infinitchy “Kaun jaat ho” is not the central tenet of sanatan dharma; that is only a social construct. If it failed the society we find a better way.

@KunalNopany I have news for you. Religion is also a social construct and many, like you, argue that it must be annihilated. "It failed society" is not a statement of fact but your opinion.

@infinitchy cast, as it exists today, is a lie, an imagination, an unscientific human construct to create unnecessary divide in society. Be brave enough to accept it as a civilizational blunder and be man enough to reject it.

@infinitchy @upword_ You have argued in the past that varna-jaati served as occupation guilds (passing on skills to next generation) & for cultural transmission. Both becoming less moot in today's India - rapidly urbanizing, hyper-connected to mass media & popular culture. What use then, of caste?

@VeeraBallal @upword_ We can leave it for the people to decide for themselves rather than demonising it and blaming it for everything from unemployment to crime to headache and campaigning for its annihilation. If it is dying anyway, why is Madhusudan so eager to accelerate its demise?

@infinitchy Caste is just the beginning. They will come for everything and it has already started. Karwa chauth, kanyadaan, Holi, Diwali, Janmashtami, Durga puja. They are coming for every tenet of Hinduism. Caste is just on priority no 1. In fact, caste and madhusudan are perfect examples…

@infinitchy Makes absolutely no sense. So I need to give up vegetarianism since it is a marker of caste? First, it is not. Second, in order to "unite" Hindus I need to give up a core value of mine? Utter nonsense.

@infinitchy Basically point is to self eradicate whatever is under attack. Caste is under attack, eradicate caste. Festivals, rituals are under attack, reform all. Language is under attack, just use English. Sab khatam kardo jab kuch nahi bachega. Tab aayega gender revolution.😶‍🌫️😅
