@infinitchy We must own our mistake regarding the caste system and fix it. On all aspects in my life, I use a "don't ask, don't tell, don't guess" regarding the castes. That, for example, will mean that I would never place a marriage or job ad that uses the world caste.

@neerajb925 Unfortunately your attitude is at the root of the problem of caste. Denying without understanding is a recipe for disaster.

@infinitchy Not sure what you mean by 'your ancestors did not even commit.' Are you saying that there was no caste discrimination in India? The responsibilities of discrimination can't be assigned to a single or a set of castes but a colossal failure of the dharma. Am I wrong? If so, how?

@infinitchy True. But, when the atmosphere is so openly anti Hindu for centuries, it's very difficult to own up. It's so easy to get either guilt tripped or get into denial mode. This is why all major Hindu organizations should do their own caste outreach and fix it within themselves.

@infinitchy How does one read up on caste,it's almost always something you hear about, you never get to read about it. Pragyata's article on Chamar caste I found was quite enlightening.I had read in one of your posts that you intend to write a book on caste.That would be wonderful.

@infinitchy Caste is the strongest aspects of Hindus and its resistant to conversion UC or LC community always take cares of their own. Another is the professional inheritance. Kid getting skilled and becoming a professional since childhood. No wonder we dictated the global GDP for centuries

@infinitchy From Ambedkar's own admission it was Dalits who helped conquer india aka hindus aka hindustan. From mughals own records most of those who who joined converted to Islam were Dalits and even mughals wrote that these dalit converts shouldn't be trusted. Dalits were the oppressors

@infinitchy Its politics and propaganda. Everything will be used against you. Even if we fully resolve caste issue, still it be used. The PM himself is OBC, still caste stick is used.
