This resonates for a few reasons but I suppose one of the main ones is cos while there’s lots of talk about solidarity, movement building and community these same people don’t set foot on the estate outside of events/photo ops/one offs = no relationships to movement build with.

the fixation on who is going to lead a movement, what it’s called, who has the power etc over actually building, sustaining and growing said movement (and movements like it on communities across the country) is part of how we found ourselves in this mess to begin with.
