There's a result, #Aldershot. An anti-racism demo, probably from somewhere else vs a creepy, plain clothed, wannabe Haven mate, from somewhere else, on a mike; surrounded by kids. Bizarre. He might be that geezer from "Pineapple Dance Studio", but I don't know. (You might).

Me to my 6yr old daughter, (D): "Do you know what a racist is?" D: "No, what is it?" "It's when somebody judges and bullies someone due to their skin colour or ethnic origin." D, innocently: "So what's the best skin colour to have then?" Dear oh dear. 😂 (She isn't one btw).

A riot is not a protest. A racist is not an activist. A thug is not a patriot. Far right extremism is precisely that. Words matter. Why are some in the media refusing to use them accurately?

of the individuals concerned. That's what the press got hold of. That *3.5% should in no way be affiliated with the protest itself. *3.5% is based upon the attendance figure of 200. I'm guessing today's peaceful protest has happened as peacefully intended. :-) #Aldershot

their democratic right to peacefully protest on the matter. (Nothing to do with the tragic events of Southport, when planned). Sadly, the last protest did experience a *3.5% minority causing issues; no doubt you will have seen the pictures from Hampshire Police circulating...

..It also decided by the last govt that a new set of flats in Farnborough (Rushmoor), be used for the same purpose. Despite objections from: residents, the last Con and current Lab MPs... The protests are about in Rushmoor; local and adjourned town residents using....

As an Aldershot (Rushmoor) resident, I would like to second that. This not an endorsement or condemnation of the protest, from me. In short: The ex-hotel, has and is being used to hold, to be processed asylum seekers. (As decided by the previous govt)....
@zoraprice19 Can I say this is nothing to do with Southport. These protests have been going on for months. They are organised by local people #aldershot

My daughter thinks we got up early this morning to drive past an empty green bus, parked outside a garden centre. Let's keep it that way. Yey, parenting win! ;-) What kind of a sadist puts a Santa parade on, at 09:00 am, on a Saturday.

Carving my 1st pumpkin ever; I've foolishly chosen to do so with my 18 month daughter. One of the most traumatic experiences of our lives. She's trying to simultaneously: Empty the contents of my pockets, whilst eating trying to eat the innards & trying to pilpher the tools.

"Would I like to go on a night out without the kids?" Why would I want to do that? Also the same person's partner: "Would I like to go on a boys night out". No, why would I want do that? Why is everyone trying to escape each other and not being who they are with their loved ones.

A new report from the IMF has confirmed the UK now has worse public finances than the economic powerhouses of Uganda, Kenya and Gambia. And do you know what the IMF partly blame this on? Privatisation.
