Huge thanks to our pals in Paris Green, Day Two, NVM, Echoes of Amara, and O’South for sharing stages with us. Nothing cooler than playing shows with people you love and respect. Thank you to all the people behind the scenes making these shows happen. More news tomorrow.

This pic is a page from the notebook I carried with me from the first In:Aviate band meeting through the end of my tenure with the band. It reads like a scrapbook or diary of the band throughout our lifespan. This is the original conceptual road map for 1985. -Ryan Groskreutz

In The Beginning// “If by chance you get the chance to do what you love, I suggest that you do.” This is the last track on the record and therefore the last track by track social media post.

I distinctly remember Kris Crummett (who produced and engineered the record, as well as mixed and mastered, a genius in his own rite) looking back at me while Dan was tracking this one and saying ‘Dan is maybe the best drummer I’ve ever tracked.’ High high praise for our guy Dan.

While Dan’s drumming is the most under appreciated thing across the whole record I can’t say enough about his performance on this track. It’s his Magnum Opus of this record.

This really resonated with me and the rest of the dudes and kind of became our internal mantra for how we approached our writing, performing, and life in the industry.

Lyrically the concepts of the track are based on a conversation I had with the legendary Ross Robinson regarding the state of the music industry and my personal frustrations with it and his words stuck with me.

Drawing influence from some of our heavier personal tastes this is the only song on the record in a modified lower tuning.

And The World Will Know // While not the last official track on the record, this one was meant to be the emotional culmination of the mental process of the entire album.

Instrumentally the guitar work on the bridge is just real damn cool. Todd and Pete both play off each other so well. Love it. -Ryan Groskreutz Pic: Todd Sullivan RG in the living room of our apartment where we lived while tracking 1985.

I was going through a lot of personal change touching on some of these themes when we were writing 1985 and this song felt like my personal chapter of the record. It was and is still one of my top tracks on the album.

Kissing Tigers// On the journey of establishment of societal concepts we reach a point where dark or negative emotions come to the surface. Jealousy. Greed. Excessive pride. Betrayal. Kissing Tigers is meant to represent these themes.

Whether it’s the guiro frog in the bridge or the sleigh bells throughout the song; We All Seek The Truth is a great example of Dan’s creativity and truly unique approach to his craft. -Ryan Randall Pic: Todd Sullivan Dan with our tour manager, Seager.
