It's really sad that peaceful players will not have access to some of the 1.19 features like frog lights. There's an easy solution for this problem. Hostile mobs still spawn in peaceful difficulty but don't attack the player.This way peaceful players can experience the whole game

How many of you actually write books in minecraft? I think I did it once to write down coordinates of ocean monuments I already raided. Of course there's chunk reset books as well, but I feel like the book writing minecraft community isn't too large.

I hope 1.20 will be an epic update. Ancient city portals send you back in time to the ancient city's heyday in a 4th dimension with new biomes and creeper dinosaurs. But it's probably best to keep expectations low. They will probably just send you back to spawn.

I always enjoyed doing things with blocks more than interacting with mobs. A block vote instead of a mob vote would be interesting to change it up. I'm sure there are a lot of good ideas for interesting things blocks can do.

Some people were complaining that we're using bots "for everything" now. At this point in my life I'm no longer willing to compromise my sleep with a PC in my room running at night just to get more items in minecraft. We're using bots for that now and won't go back.

Lol, I got an angry message by someone I never heard of accusing me that I stole his mob farm for my skyblock world and I just made it square instead of round. There's not much you can claim credit for when it comes to a pathfinding mob farm. No coincidence they look similar...

over 1 million votes this time. I was positively surprised that so many people voted for their favorite mob. In 2017 only 2229 votes decided that we'll have to deal with the phantom forever. The margin was about 80 votes.

2nd mob is the rascal. A mob that hides and maybe gives you an enchanted iron pick axe if you find him. Tbh I'm not excited about that at all. I'll stick with the sniffer.

Minecraft is awesome. We spent the last 5 days breeding donkeys to get super fast ones. We made automated systems to gauge their speed and people assisted us with statistical analysis. Currently our fastest donkey reaches 13.35 m/s. goal is 14.0 m/s. will take a couple months.

I can already say it: The allay mob definitely has my vote. It could be very useful for item sorting, maybe even non-stackable item sorting, and item collection. It's hard to believe that the 2 remaining ones will be even better-

I feel like placing down an echest, taking out a shulker box, placing it, taking out a bundle, ejecting all items, put the other items back in the bundle then put the bundle in the s box, break it and put it in the e chest and break it is not a replacement for a larger inventory

We get a lot of questions if we can release world downloads or schematics. The answer is no. The reason is: people nowadays make a business out of stealing contraptions and making tutorials on your stuff. nothing you can do legally though.

Scicraft issues: We had to restart survival today because the 32bit entity ID overflowed. (each entity gets an ID, this is different from the UUID)

At this point more players would use the difference between QC and non QC pistons than there are players that use the difference between "cracked polished blackstone bricks" and "polished blackstone bricks". So many ideas for new pistons out there. Time to add some.

We made it after 27 hours. This is 370,500 blocks away from the main island. There's a 150k wide ring of void before the normal end generation continues. We also got 2900 shulker shells, because we raided all the end cities along the way.

My fitness goal for this year was getting a 140kg bench press. Today I went for it. 135kg as warmup was just flying up and then finally 3 big plates on each side. Got it quite easily. I was so excited that I didn't even consider trying 145 kg, which might have been possible today

I tested the allay today to see if it's useful for gathering sand. Big disappointment. The AI is just too bad. It gets lost all the time and you'd spend more time catching it then it's useful. Goat horns being able to call all allays to the player would be useful

Allay will be renewable soon as shown today on Twitter, which is good. But I feel like the mechanic is trivial. Just give an allay one shard and you'll have two. There should be some extra requirement like it's only possible in a woodland mansion so we have a reason to go there.

just built this "beauty". Seems like there's not a satisfying way to make an amethyst shard farm. It's such a mess of hoppers, pistons and redstone. I wish we could move the budding amethyst to make a clean looking farm.

Updating the server to 1.14.2 worked as expected: not very well. Got timed out very often, server is struggling with small farms, half of our items are gone. Reminds us why we didn't update for so long. Performance in later versions will better though.

Desperately needed a block today that doesn't stick to slime, but can be pulled with a sticky piston AND you can place rails on top. Honey block comes close. Wouldn't it be a perfect feature for the wax block if it would work that way?
