I was surprised to learn that a lot of Elden Ring players thought that you couldn't double jump with Torrent if you walked off of a ledge (that you have to do a regular jump off first).
This is only true depending on the class of weapon you're wielding and is probably a bug.

In the Souls games you might've noticed how your bloodstain doesn't always wind up at your exact location of death. It's usually a bit "further behind" than where you were.
Its exact placement can be visualized in debug as a blue orb that follows you around.

I think I've cheesed every single Rune Bear I've encountered so far and I have zero regrets. Playing these games how you want and taking advantage of their flexibility is always a win.
Pissing off weird souls game gatekeepers by beating bosses in Elden Ring using my Mimic Tear and my fully leveled Ruins Greatsword and almost maxed out Strength stat gives me life.
They get SO mad that I beat the game the way I want to play :)

I hope this articulates my point about how Lordran doesn't rest on the Great Hollow tree or how the trees connect to different universes or whatever.
The Great Hollow is just one tree poking through (not the only one); Lordan rests on a canopy of dozens or hundreds of arch trees.
Did I make Ash Lake viewable from Undead burg? Yep. I was mildly curious where Ash Lake would appear when I load it into UB. This is the actual spot for the tree trunks and the fog of Ash Lake. I love that the maps have world origin points so they fit together like a big puzzle.

-All 3 underground Spirit Springs still have the narrower safe-landing-area that the Caelid springs used to have pre-1.03.

Yes, when you hear a bell ring in Dark Souls 1, it IS an online feature and it was caused by another player just ringing the bell.
There's no randomized offline ringing to fake this interaction. If you hear it, you're online and it was real.
Some people are very insistent they can hear the bells in Dark Souls 1 while offline.
I don't believe them, but it's an interesting and somewhat persistent claim.

This is a good thread about questionable wiki stuff, and I agree with a lot of it. But also, a brief mini-rant here because I've been kind of annoyed by the response that some have had after I made that Elden Ring fall damage page for Fextralife.
So this NPC is named "Springhare" in its AI, and it's very obviously meant to be the same as the actually real animal Springhare, right? Where did Fextralife come up with the name "Rabbitgaroo" and why are they still using it now? It doesn't appear in the ingame text anywhere.

I'm fairly confident in saying the invasion range in Elden Ring has a downwards range of 10%, and an upwards range of 20 + 10%, calculated from the invader's level & perspective.
Level 50 can invade hosts who are 45 - 75
Level 100 can invade hosts who are 90 - 130

I talked about this a bit in my Demon's Souls Compare-Through and it's genuinely really funny.
Sony messed up in thinking that From was the right company to make an Oblivion clone/ competitor.
From failed the task so hard they invented a new, beloved sub-genre of video game.
It's kind of funny sometimes to think about the fundamental comedy of Sony, seeing the popularity of Oblivion and asking FromSoftware to make something like it for the PS3, receiving Demon's Souls instead.

*Minor correction
The correct way to play Sekiro is in Japanese, then you switch to English for Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa, then you change it back to Japanese afterwards.
I don't make the rules that's just how it is.
I don't take a lot of hard stances on matters of opinion, but I do want to note: if you played Sekiro with the English voices, that was wrong and you should feel bad about it.
