After each win at Wrigley Otis would be waiting at the entrance of the lockerroom to high five every player and coach. He was a legend of our game and will be deeply missed.
The Cubs mourn the passing of Tom “Otis” Hellmann, a fixture in our organization for 41 seasons.
Otis served as the Home Clubhouse Manager for 23 years before being named Home Clubhouse Manager Emeritus in 2023. Otis’ tireless effort, selflessness and dedication to his job…

This is a former high school coach of mine Eddie McCloskey. At 81 years old he still rakes. He’s a baseball legend who has taught me so much. Eddie, you’ve changed a lot of lives and the world should see this swing!!
