Musk's Fauci tweet makes it hard for me to justify being active here. Let's chat eleswhere.

The good thing about a character limit is it encourages you to express yourself economically and makes it far easier to get into conversational back and forth. Longer posts enable mind splurgers and tweeters who want to broadcast rather than chat. We can get essayists elsewhere.

Just the read the sad news of the death of Chris Boucher. A writer whose sardonic wit, deft characterisation and pacy plotting elevated a number of British radio and TV dramas in the 70s and 80s. I loved his work and the dry self deprecation which perhaps left him underestimated.

#TheOuterLimitsBore I have completed the 1960s Outer Limits. Conventional wisdom has it the first season with its "monster of the week" fables was better and the second season that attempted to stretch the format was far poorer. Yup, conventional wisdom is bang on there.

Meant to share this local news a couple of days ago. Because technically... No, that's a stay of execution.

This is a lovely adaptation capturing Dickens' spookiness, campaigning, sentimentality and stupid character names. First class performances, gorgeous music and sound design. The poor may always be with us but we can still build more wonderful lives. Recommended for cool cockles.

#WhoBore Three times Doctor Who really cared about getting the science right. 1) During a planning meeting in 1963. 2) Briefly in 1966. 3) For about a fortnight in 1980.

#WhereIdeasComeFrom "Anyway, one day Will Kempe rolls in with these donkey and lion's head props some mate of his from the alehouse knocked up. He waggles their eyes at me and says 'I can do some funny business with these, Bill- bung a play 'round 'em.'"

Best bit is the sign at the high security military testing site that says *absolutely* NO ADMITTANCE, with *absolutely* in a cursive handwriting font to emphasise how jolly serious everyone is about this whole NO ADMITTANCE business.

#TheOuterLimitsBore The Premonition starts and ends with narration stressing we're at the outer limits of our knowledge as if to stress this episode is definitely a good fit for the show. Hmm. It's a time stops and gets restarted limbo thing that's well mounted but odd logically.

No one ever talks about Mariah Carey's unpopular first husband, Pariah Carey.

It's alright. She's listened enraptured to me explaining that despite the different face you can tell the iron maiden glimpsed in the film is the same prop as the King's Demons one because of dints in the casing and is now mesmerised by me saying they're a 19th Century invention.

MrsIanZPotter mangles a work colleague's claim to fame anecdote. "He played a Nazi extra in Raiders of the Lost Ark!" 'Really?" "Yes, he said they were burning books and the eagle fell off his standard-" "THAT'S THE LAST CRUSADE!" I'll be serving papers shortly.

I'm going to have to lose a favourite line from yesterday's great writing today because cr of an anachronism. Who knew combination locks where you set the numbers yourself weren't invented until the late 1970s? Someone would have done.

I can't quite believe she's that whole choir's grandma. Catholicism, I guess.
