Stop asking "Is blockchain good or bad?" Ask instead: What problem is blockchain solving in that specific use case? Food safety? Works. Cross-border payments? Works. Quick speculation? Gets people robbed. The technology is neutral. The application matters.

The uncomfortable truth: blockchain doesn't care about hype or skeptics. It's being adopted in places that matter. Enterprise. Government. Supply chains. Payments. The crimes are real. The utility is real. Both things are true at the same time.

The market for blockchain enterprise solutions is $3.47 billion in 2025. Growing at 45% annually until 2030. That's real money from real companies solving real problems. Not retail speculation. The hype cycle will fade. The technology will stay.

So what's actually true about blockchain? 1. It works. Supply chains, payments, records all move faster and cheaper. 2. It's being adopted. 660M+ people, $2.36 trillion in Asia alone, institutional money coming in. 3. It's being exploited. Bad actors found it useful too.

Here's what matters though. Illicit activity is still under 1% of total blockchain transactions. $2.8 billion stolen vs. $10+ trillion in legitimate crypto volume. It's a real problem. But it's not what most people are doing.
