After attending the #Blockchain #Futurist24 conference in Toronto for the last 2 days. I realized most people in the #web3 space are full of shit. This technology is great. But everyone is trying to sell shit in a box. Let's figure this out!!!!.

Are people willing to invest in their favorite content creators?. Could "minting" be the new way we 'like' online?.

. So rather than simply clicking a 'like' button, people could invest in and own a piece of digital content, which not only supports the creator financially but also gives them a sense of ownership and connection to the content creator themselves. What do you think?.

A few Web3 projects seem to think "minting" is the new "liking". This means people would convert their favorite content into a token (NFT).

Instead of a meaningless 'like', how else can we show support to content creators themselves?.

The 'Like' seems to primarily benefit the platform more than the content creator, as it fuels algorithms to better sell us on ads.

The "like" button doesn't seem to have evolved much since its introduction. Does it hold any meaning anymore?.

To make $100 on Spotify, it will take 22,900 streams. To make $100 on Amazon, it will take 24,900 streams. To make $100 on YouTube, it will take 144,000 streams. To make $100 on web3, it will take only 20 music NFTs sold at $5 each. #Web3 brings back the power of 1000 True Fans.

🟩 Everyone gets fair pay, clear rules, and a say in decisions. 🟩 Blockchain networks bring out the best in protocol networks. If you're looking to learn more about web3, I would say this is on the top of my recommendation list.📖.

🟩 Google said "Don't be evil," but putting a lot of trust into a for-profit business has it's uncertainty. 🟩 Blockchains provides a "Can't be evil" option - because rules can't change. 🟩 No sudden shifts in Terms and Conditions. no algorithmic pushes.

and similar to owning DVDs - you'll be able to resell them if you want. Just like anything we own in the real world, we'll be able to do it online - it's our right as true owners.

But you know, this is exactly what web3 / blockchain technology is solving, right?. It will provide a clearer and more consistent definition of ownership in the digital world!.

Just seems like, in the current state, "ownership" online is much different than "ownership" in the real physical world.
