6/8 IAM also focuses on fostering worldview-producing conditions, supporting leaders and institutions to act coherently as adaptation outpaces institutional learning — including incubating real-world Big Picture applications that are adoptable, not just insightful.

5/8 IAM’s focus will include the consolidation of an integrative philosophy kernel — a framework capable of holding plural perspectives without collapsing into relativism or ideology.

4/8 In 2026, IAM’s philosophical, sociological, narrative, institutional, and financial work coheres into a more public strategy — united by one concern: how societies generate, transmit, and act from Big Pictures under accelerating complexity and pluralism.

3/8 The core challenge of the era is not technological capacity, economic adaptation, or political will — but integrative sensemaking and its adoptability.

2/8 IAM was formed to help meet a particular civilizational moment. We are entering what @RobbSmith calls a Transformation Age — not merely a period of disruption, but one of structural transformation across sensemaking, meaning, technoeconomy, geopolitics, and ecology.

Everyone should read this. If we can get leading media voices like Tom and Ezra to shift from a pluralistic to an integrative mindset, that’s one step away from our leaders and, let’s face it, future president Newsom, having an approach fit for purpose to resist our decline

Today’s NY Times is about the Transformation Age—a time of structural morphogenesis—the Metacrisis, and the Great Release all in one. Here’s a primer, then the article.

@IAMetatheory @tomfriedman Though Tom is a “light Teal” thinker—integrative but without an integrative metatheory—this is a fairly classic postmodern worldview blind spot of seeing Teal-level system complexity but then flattening its depth. Hence polycene. https://t.co/oUp76wbAvE

We have arrived at a “Polycene” moment where binary systems are giving way to multiple interconnected ones.

Brilliant synopsis of where we are now - the Transformarían Age. Within my area of knowledge and experience, I wonder how this is impacting policing. It IS impacting policing, as it is impacting everything. But who in policing is aware of this? And, more importantly, who isn’t?

We have entered a Transformation Age. Meeting this moment requires more than better ideas: it requires integrative worldview networks capable of coordinating meaning, attention, and collective strategy at civilizational scale. @RobbSmith's analysis 👉

Kuhn's recent "Landscape of Consciousness" paper is a landmark contribution to the field. At @IAMetatheory we were going to extend Kuhn to build an Integrative Map of Consciousness, but now don't need to bc @danilo_z_j absolutely crushed it w the awesome Consciousness Atlas.

@CortexAwakens @RaoulGMI @grok OpenAI might be stronger on integrative stage of cognitive complexity at this point, both in terms of content and in terms of actual metasystematic reasoning. Here’s its primer on integrative from @IAMetatheory’s own ChatGPT, as it’s learned a lot from us https://t.co/u7qMFZg2O9

AI is killing consulting, unless it’s from an Integrative stage of complexity, which AIs can’t touch. If I was CEO of a consulting firm, I’d be learning about the integrative stage of cognition with every hour of spare time I have.

A perfectly timed article from Reuters. “AI is killing consulting.” What’s truly fascinating is this part: “For example, if a company performs a project in-house, it costs around $1 million, but consulting firms like Accenture have been offering the same service for $200,000.

The kind of stuff we debate weekly @IAMetatheory, this was a speculative update of Integral Metatheory’s concept of quadrants to include the transjective, a relational process ontology, & critical realist depth ontology.
